All vehicles at QDrive Performance Dubai are insured in full compliance with UAE law.
Your hire includes basic third-party liability insurance, which covers damage to other vehicles and public property. For added peace of mind, you can opt for a Comprehensive or Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) that limits your liability in the event of an accident.

Please note:

  • Insurance is void if the driver is not named in the rental contract.
  • Police reports are mandatory for all accident claims.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs invalidates coverage.
  • Damage caused by reckless driving, desert use, or unauthorised modifications is not covered.

We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) for both rental payment and deposit authorisation.
A security deposit will be pre-authorised on your card at the start of your rental and released within 21 business days after vehicle inspection and clearance of any fines.

Important notes:

  • The card must be in the renter’s name.
  • Prepaid or virtual cards are not accepted.
  • Debit cards may be accepted for payment, but a credit card is required for deposit hold as per UAE banking regulations.

Every QDrive rental includes a daily mileage limit clearly stated in your agreement. Additional kilometres are charged per the vehicle class.
If you plan to travel long distances (e.g. Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah), speak to our team for custom mileage packages.

We recommend logging your mileage at pickup and return to ensure transparency. For high-performance and supercar models, mileage limits are more restrictive due to manufacturer warranty and maintenance protocols.

To rent and drive a car in Dubai, you must hold:
  • A valid UAE driving licence (for residents), or
  • A valid International Driving Permit (IDP) plus your home country licence (for tourists).

Accepted countries include the UK, EU nations, the USA, Canada, Australia, and GCC states.
Minimum age to rent is 25 years, though some performance or exotic vehicles require drivers to be 30 years or older.
A valid passport and visa entry stamp are also required for visitors.

While credit cards are preferred for security, debit card bookings are accepted for select vehicle categories. You must provide:
  • Emirates ID (residents) or Passport with valid visa (tourists).
  • Proof of local address (hotel or residence).
  • Refundable security deposit in cash or card pre-authorisation.

For luxury or high-value cars, only credit cards are accepted due to insurance and liability conditions set by UAE insurers.

Driving in Dubai offers world-class infrastructure, but strict traffic enforcement. Please observe all RTA regulations:

  • Speed limits: 60–80 km/h (urban), 100–120 km/h (highways)
  • No handheld mobile phone use while driving.
  • Seatbelts are mandatory for all passengers.
  • Zero tolerance for drink-driving.
  • Red-light and parking fines are automatically recorded against the vehicle and charged to the renter.

We advise using navigation apps (Google Maps / Waze) to avoid restricted zones and keep within speed limits.
QDrive vehicles are equipped with Salik tags for tolls; Salik usage will be deducted from your deposit after return.

  • Always obtain a police report for any accident or damage, no matter how minor.
  • Avoid off-road or desert driving unless the car is specifically rated for it.
  • Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as provided.
  • Ensure all personal belongings are removed before return.
  • If extending your rental, contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid penalties.
  • Late returns (over 3 hours past due) may incur a full-day charge.

At QDrive Performance Dubai, we uphold UK-level professionalism with UAE-specific compliance — giving you the confidence to drive in complete comfort and legality.

Excess & Deposits Explained

At QDrive Performance Dubai, we follow UAE’s rental and insurance standards set by the RTA and UAE Insurance Authority. It’s important to understand the difference between security deposits and insurance excess, as they serve different purposes in your rental agreement.

Security Deposits :

A refundable security deposit is mandatory for all rentals in Dubai.
The deposit amount varies depending on the vehicle type and value — for example:

  • Luxury & Executive Range: AED 5,000 – AED 7,500
  • Sports & Supercars: AED 10,000 – AED 15,000

Deposits are collected through a pre-authorisation on your credit card, not as a direct charge. This means the amount remains in your account but is temporarily held for the duration of your rental.

The pre-authorisation is automatically released within 21 business days after the car is returned, subject to:

  • No damages reported
  • No unpaid traffic fines, Salik tolls, or parking violations
  • Fuel level and mileage within agreed limits

For debit card or cash deposits, refunds may take slightly longer, depending on your bank’s processing policy.

Insurance Excess :

The excess (also called “deductible”) is the maximum amount you’d pay in case of accidental damage where you are deemed at fault.
For example, if the excess is AED 2,500, this is the maximum amount you contribute towards repair costs.

Key points:

  • In fault-based accidents, you’ll be charged up to the excess amount or the actual repair cost, whichever is lower.
  • In non-fault accidents, the cost is claimed from the third-party insurer. However, if the third party’s insurer fails to pay, you may be temporarily liable until the matter is settled.
  • If you purchase our Full Coverage or CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), you can reduce your liability to zero.

Assessing Damages and Charges

At QDrive Performance Dubai, we believe in transparency and fairness when assessing damages.

Damage Evaluation  :

Our vehicles are inspected before and after each rental. We use digital photo verification and RTA-standard inspection forms to document the car’s condition.
Minor scratches, scuffs, or wear within RTA’s “fair wear and tear” limits are not charged to the customer.

Examples of non-chargeable wear:

  • Small surface scratches (under 25mm)
  • Minor tyre wear consistent with use
  • Light interior scuffs that don’t affect functionality

Damage requiring repair or replacement (e.g. dents, deep scratches, wheel rim damage, windshield chips) will be charged based on official repair invoices from authorised service centres.

Reporting Damages :

If your vehicle is involved in an accident or sustains damage:

  • Call Dubai Police immediately (999) and obtain a police report — this is mandatory for all insurance claims in the UAE.
  • Notify QDrive Performance as soon as possible.
  • Do not attempt private settlements — insurance is only valid with an official report.

We will assist you throughout the process and ensure the repair is handled efficiently.

Fair Wear and Tear Policy :

Dubai’s climate and road conditions are unique — high temperatures and sand can cause minor cosmetic wear. QDrive Performance does not charge for reasonable wear that occurs during normal driving, but we reserve the right to evaluate damage caused by misuse, off-road driving, or negligence.
